Willistown crash leaves 1 in critical condition

WILLISTOWN — One person is in critical condition following a two-car crash in Berwyn Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

The accident occurred in the 6100 block of Goshen Road, near the Kirkwood Preserve, around 3:30 p.m.

One vehicle was overturned, trapping the passenger inside.

That person is in critical condition in Philadelphia.

“He originally went to Paoli Hospital and has since been transported by helicopter to a hospital in the city of Philadelphia,” said Detective Robert Wills of the Willistown Township Police Department. “He’s still in critical condition.”

Two other people were involved. One was treated and released and the other had no injuries.

The two-lane road was reopened shortly after the accident investigation team of the Willistown Township Police Department finished.

It is unclear as to what caused the accident. Wills said the crash is still under investigation.
