What’s a summer celebration without the Kelly Cup in tow?

Center Ice did a special feature with two of the top players from the Kelly Cup championship run from the Reading Royals to see how they spent their day(s) with the Cup.

Yannick Tifu

“I got it home at 10 a.m. and had a little breakfast with my mom and dad and my girlfriend. At 10:30, I had my friends come over for a little private party and enjoyed it. At night, we went downtown with a couple guys and all my close friends – [Julien] Cayer was there and [Joel] Champagne was there. It was an interesting night and it was fun. But the best part was having it home with mom, dad and the girlfriend in private in the morning. The next day, Cayer had it so I was back at it with him. It was nice having it with mom and dad for all the work they’ve done since I was young and finally winning something.”

“I had it at my wedding. It was a great time. We had it for my whole wedding weekend and we did a lot of great things with it. We had it at my groom’s dinner and at our wedding at one of our head tables. I don’t think my wife would go for a [cake shaped as the Cup], but it was a great time.”
