No. 1 Vancouver Canucks vs. No. 3 Boston Bruins
GAME 5: VAN 1 – BOS 0

VANCOUVER – Once again, the Bruins lose by just a single goal and the Canucks take the series lead with a chance to win it all Monday night.

The scoresheet looked similar to the first game of the series. Neither team could find a way to put the puck behind Roberto Luongo and Tim Thomas and it remained scoreless through the first two periods.

This time around, it didn’t take until the final minute of the game for a goal to be scored. Maxim Lapierre gave the Canucks a 1-0 lead 4:35 into the third period. It would be the lone goal of the game.

The series returns to Boston Monday night. So far in the series, neither team has lost at home. Will the trend continue or will the Canucks win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history?

NEXT GAME: Monday at 8 p.m.

SERIES: 3-2 Vancouver
