Hellberg has spent the last season with Almtuna. He was the starting goaltender in 2010-11, playing in 31 games. He posted a sparkling 2.04 goals-against average and .936 save percentage with five shutouts. In the qualifying round, he played in five games with a 3.24 GAA and .908 SP.

In 2009-10, playing in the J20 Elit league, he won the awards for the best GAA and SP in the East and overall with a 1.97 and .929, respectively, in 22 games.

Hellberg signed a two-year contract to play for Frölunda of the Swedish Elite League in April.
