GAME 4: BOS 3 – TBL 5

TAMPA – The Bruins will likely want to forget that Game 4 ever happened as a 3-0 lead has come back to haunt them again.

Patrice Bergeron struck first to give the Bruins the lead. Michael Ryder tallied next, followed by a short-handed strike from Bergeron 84 seconds later to give the Bruins a 3-0 lead after the first period. Dwayne Roloson was pulled after the third goal in favor of Mike Smith.

But don’t turn it off yet.

The second period saw the Lightning fire back. Teddy Purcell scored twice in a span of 63 seconds. Sean Bergenheim scored his ninth of the postseason just shy of three minutes later to tie the game at 3-all.

The Lightning weren’t done yet. Simon Gagne gave them the lead 6:54 into the third period and Martin St. Louis added the empty-net goal with 37 seconds remaining in the game to give the Lightning the 5-3 win.
