GAME 2: VAN 7 – SJS 3

VANCOUVER – The Sharks were able to play themselves out of the game with the penalties they piled on. The Canucks were able to take advantage and also now hold a 2-0 series lead.

Special teams was the name of the game as five of the 10 goals were scored on the power play.

After the first period, the game was tied at 2. The Sharks scored two on the power play from Logan Couture and Patrick Marleau. The Canucks scored one on the power play from Daniel Sedin and an even-strength goal from Raffi Torres 39 seconds later.

Kevin Bieksa broke the tie and scored the lone goal in the second period.

It was all Vancouver in the third period as they scored four goals to take a 7-2 lead. Chris Higgins and Sedin both scored on the power play and Aaron Rome and Mason Raymond both tallied even strength.
