No. 1 Vancouver Canucks vs. No. 5 Nashville Predators
GAME 5: VAN 3 – NSH 4

VANCOUVER – The west is turning into a battle of close games as the Predators were able to hang on to win in the waning minutes of the game to push the series to a Game 6.

Doubles were rampant as three of the four goal scorers had two tallies Saturday night.

David Legwand got the game started with his shorthanded tally 3:42 into the game, but the Canucks came back with two goals in the first from Raffi Torres and Ryan Kesler.

Legwand tied the game with the second period’s only goal.

Joel Ward pushed the Predators to a two-goal lead with his pair of tallies in the third 5:31 apart.

Kesler brought the Canucks back within one with his late goal with 3:46 remaining in the game, but the home team couldn’t get the tying goal past Pekka Rinne.

NEXT GAME: Monday at 8 p.m.
