After over two months since the free agency opened, Bobby Ryan and the Anaheim Ducks came to an agreement and the forward has re-signed to a five-year deal that TSN reports to be worth $25.5 million.

Rumors floated around during the summer that Ryan turned down several offers from the Ducks, claiming that he did not want a contract longer than three years. Nothing was ever confirmed.

The 23-year-old had his best season of his career last year with 64 points. He led the Ducks with 35 goals and was third on the team in points and plus/minus (plus-9).

In only three NHL seasons, he has scored 71 goals and 60 assists.

Ryan also won a silver medal with Team USA at the 2010 Olympics where he scored a goal and an assist in six games.
